Smailov Alikhan Askhanovich
Born in Almaty, 18th December 1972.
1994, graduated the Kazakh National University named after Al-Faraby, speciality – applied mathematics;
1996, graduated the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research, MSc. in Public Administration.
December 1993–December 1995, chief specialist at Investment-Privatization Fund “A-Invest”;
August 1996 – March 1998, deputy head, head of division at the National Statistical Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
March 1998 – April 1998, deputy Chairperson of the Committee on statistics and analysis of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on statistical planning and reforms;
April 1998 – November 1999, chief expert, the economic sector head of the Department, State Controller at the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
November 1999 – February 2003, Chairperson of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on statistics;
